What’s the difference between the iPhone, iTouch and iPad app?

The app is the same for all three devices. They use the same interface, same menus, and same application from the App Store.

Do I have to be a Logos customer to use the iPhone app?

No. Our application is free for anyone to use and can be downloaded from the app store. However, if you are a Logos 4 user, the app will give you access to books from your Logos library.

How much does the iPhone app cost?

The Logos Bible Software app is available for free at the App Store.

I want to buy an iPhone/iPod/iPad. What size should I buy?

Since the Logos app accesses your books from the internet, there are no restrictions as to what size you have to buy in order to use the app. If you were to download all available books though, they should fit easily in a 16GB idevice. However, if you want to include music/videos/photos/other apps, you might want to consider a larger hard drive to best fit your storage needs.

Do I have to register my account?

No, but the benefit of registered users is the ability to access an additional 30 free books for customers who don’t have Logos 4, or access to your library collection for existing Logos users.

Will the Logos Bible Software app run on my iPod Touch?

Yes. The app will run on any device running iPhone OS 3.1 or later.

Do I need to be connected to internet for the app to work?

Yes and no. You will need to be connected to the internet via your cell phone service provider or Wi-Fi to access all the features and resources of the app. We currently offer limited offline reading support for  Logos 4 customers when you are not able to access the internet. I have a Logos 4 base package. Will I be able to see all my books in the Logos Bible Software app?

On the day we launched the Logos Bible Software iPhone App we had nearly 3,000 titles for the iPhone. We now have close to 7,000 books available! We currently have about 12,000 titles available for Logos 4 which will be released for the iPhone as we secure rights and convert titles. Which free books will I have access to on my iPhone?

We will try to keep access to all the titles currently available at  Bible.logos.com for your iPhone as long as contracts and permissions allow us to do so. No promises, no guarantees. Hey, this is free by the way…

Which books are compatible with my iPhone?

You can browse through all iPhone compatible books and filter the list as needed. In addition to that, you can use the search bar on Logos.com to search for a specific title. If a title is iPhone enabled, an iPhone badge will display on the page.

Can I read my books offline?

The current version of our app offers limited offline reading support. To learn how to make a title available for offline reading, please watch the tutorial video. Downloading resources to your device requires an internet connection via your wireless carrier or Wi-Fi.

How do I share a verse on Twitter or Facebook?

When reading a Bible, simply swipe up and click "Share."

How can I "bookmark" something I'm reading?

When reading, simply swipe up and tap "Add to Favorites." To view your favorites, tap "More" from the bottom navigation and then tap "Favorites."

Can I copy and paste or highlight selected text?

Yes. Copy and paste is new to the app. Simply select a section of text and you will be given the option to "Copy." Highlighting, however, has not been implemented, but is under development.
