The Authority of the Bible
- Author: Colin Peckham
- Publisher: Christian Focus Publications, 2001
- 160 pages
Many people assume that science has proven the Bible wrong, yet that is not the case. The Bible, when probed to its minutest detail, is shown to be accurate in historical and geographical details. The Bible is more than just an accurate historical document; it is a book about the Christ. The Old Testament contains hundreds of predictions about Jesus, and the author of this book details the way in which many of them are fulfilled.
Colin Peckham shows from the Bible the relevance of Christianity in today's multicultural context and how it compares with Hinduism, Islam and other world religions. He also shows us what Christ's attitude was towards the Old Testament. We are also shown how archaeology, sometimes used to try to disprove the authority of the Bible, and other external evidence have confirmed the trustworthiness of biblical texts.
Colin Peckham, was born in South Africa and formerly principal of Faith Mission College. He is Married to Mary and they have three adult children and one grandchild.

Paul, Missionary Theologian
- Author:Robert Reymond
- Publisher: Christian Focus Publications, 2006
- 640 pages
What was it that propelled Paul to work so hard and against such great odds to evangelize his world? Theologian Dr. Robert Reymond demonstrates how Paul's mission and drive were linked to his theological convictions. This work is broken up into two parts. Part one chronicles Paul's missionary work while part two dissects the missionary theology that mobilized Paul. In the last chapter Reymond draws from his incredible research to communicate lessons to the Church and modern missionaries from Paul's worldview and example.
Robert Reymond taught for more than 25 years on the faculties of Covenant Theological Seminary and Knox Theological Seminary. He holds B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Bob Jones University and did post-doctoral studies at Fuller Seminary, New York University, Union Seminary, Tyndale House, Cambridge, and Rutherford House, Edinburgh. Currently he is the Emeritus Professor of Systematic Theology at Knox Theological Seminary, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Robert Reymond has written a useful survey of Paul's missionary life and theology. The approach to the New Testament materials reflects a high view of their divine origin and authority. Of particular note is a serious defense of the now generally abandoned view that Paul was the author of Hebrews. —Douglas Moo

The New Thematic Concordance
- Author: Geoffrey Stonier
- Publisher: Christian Focus Publications, 2005
- 208 pages
A concordance can be a really useful took to help you, but most just list words — so what happens if the word you are looking for doesn't come from the translation that the concordance is for?
One answer to the problem is a topical Bible concordance. If you know the subject you want to study then a topical Bible concordance shows you where in the Bible that subject or theme is developed. Before long you will find that The New Thematic Concordance is an indispensable tool.
Geoffrey Stonier is an ordained minister; he has been Pastor of 5 churches over the past 42 years. Parallel to serving as a pastor he was a schoolteacher and then an electronic engineer teaching to university standard. He retired in 1995 to train pastors in Third World Countries. Rethinking Genesis
- Author: Duane Garrett
- Publisher: Christian Focus Publications, 2005
- 320 pages
Rethinking Genesis is an assessment of the origins of the book of Genesis. Garrett looks at the various possible sources of information that Moses drew on in putting together his account of the origins of the earth and the appearance of the history of Israel. The documentary hypothesis has always been criticized from conservative theological circles. This has tended to be in the form of outright opposition to the concept and the insistence that Moses used no other source than inspiration by the Holy Spirit. The uniqueness of Garrett's approach is that he combines conservative theology with an investigation of the possible sources of information available to Moses.
Duane Garrett is John R. Sampey Professor of Old Testament Interpretation at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Garrett has many years of teaching, writing, research and pastoral experience. He has served on the faculty of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Bethel Seminary, Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary, Mid-America Baptist Seminary and Korea Baptist Seminary.

John - Beloved Disciple
- Author: Robert Reymond
- Publisher: Christian Focus Publications, 2001
- 214 pages
Examines the themes, concepts and theology of John in his gospel, his letters, and in Revelation. A superb analysis of the writings and theology of the books written by John, Reymond also responds to the two modern theologies of Bultmann and Kaseman. Reymond makes a strong case for John's authorship on the Gospel that bears his name, the Johannine epistles, and the book of Revelation. Reymond builds upon this important discussion by highlighting theological links between these books.
Robert Reymond taught for more than 25 years on the faculties of Covenant Theological Seminary and Knox Theological Seminary. He holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Bob Jones University and did post-doctoral studies at Fuller Seminary, New York University, Union Seminary, Tyndale House, Cambridge, and Rutherford House, Edinburgh. Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People: Biblical Look at the problem of suffering
- Author: Melvin Tinker
- Publisher: Christian Focus Publications,2009
- 160 pages
Why doesn't doing good guarantee an easy life? One of the most common objections to the Christian Faith is 'If God created the universe, and is still in control of it, then why does He allow suffering and injustice?' Melvin Tinker considers the different opinions people have before investigating the biblical answers about a crucial topic that needs to be faced by an evangelistic church. Tinker looks at the situations biblical characters faced, the opposition to Jesus himself, and the suffering of the early church. This book provides the key factors behind the benefit and purpose of suffering.
Melvin Tinker is Vicar of St John’s Newland, Chairman of Yorkshire Gospel Partnership, co-director of Northern Training Course and is a leading member of the Anglican group 'REFORM'. He is a popular author on culture and faith. He is married to Heather and they have 3 grown-up sons.

Prayer, Praise & Prophecy: A Theology of the Psalms
- Author: Geoffrey Grogan
- Publisher: Christian Focus Publications, 2009
- 336 pages
In the Garden of Eden, God walked with Adam and Eve face to face — then the fall separated us. The Psalms are God's gift to us to help reestablish contact, understand his mind and how to connect with him. Geoffrey Grogan seeks to introduce us to some of the theological dimensions of this important and much loved biblical book such as:
- How have the Psalms been interpreted throughout History?
- Who wrote the Psalms and is there a purpose in their structure?
- What were the Psalms used for and how should we use them today?
- What do the Psalms teach us about God?
- How are the Psalms fulfilled in Christ?
Dr. Geoffrey W. Grogan was Principal Emeritus of Glasgow Bible College before it became International Christian College, Glasgow. His theological studies were undertaken there and at the London Bible College. He served the College as a full-time lecturer for fourteen years before going south in 1965 to teach at LBC. In 1969 he returned to Glasgow as principal. He has served on four missionary councils, on the Strathclyde Education Committee and the Management Committee for the Cambridge University Diploma in Religious Studies. He has written books on the Trinity, the Person of Christ, Paul, the Psalms and commentaries on Isaiah, Mark and 2 Corinthians. He is now retired and has been a part-time pastor in a Baptist Church.

Contours of Pauline Theology: A Radical New Survey of the Influences on Paul's Biblical Writings
- Author: Tom Holland
- Publisher: Christian Focus Publications, 2004
- 392 pages
The Apostle Paul is a controversial church figure. Many theologians accuse Paul of starting a new religion: of hi-jacking early Christianity in a different direction. Is this a fair charge?
Tom Holland points us to a neglected fact, that the Jews in the first century AD would view concepts of salvation through the exodus of Israel from Egypt to the promised land. Until now, a real elephant in the center of the hermeneutical room. Such a viewpoint opens up new understanding on Pauline studies — it is true of this book that it will change your view of the New Testament and deserves to radically alter New Testament studies in Universities, Theological Colleges and Seminaries around the world.
Tom Holland is professor of New Testament and Hermeneutics at the Wales Evangelical School of Theology.
