Walter Kaiser (the Colman M. Mockler Distinguished Professor of Old Testament) retired as President of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2006. He studied at Wheaton College and earned a Ph.D. from Brandeis University. He taught Bible and archeology at Wheaton and then went on to teach Old Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, for more than twenty years. Dr. Kaiser currently serves on the boards of several Christian organizations. He is the author of more than thirty books, including Toward an Exegetical Theology and Preaching and Teaching from the Old Testament: A Guide for the Church in the Preachers Collection (7 volumes).

Hubert Inman Hester was Head of the Department of Religion at William Jewell College, 1926-1961, and the Vice President at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, 1961-1965. He is the author of The Heart of the New Testament and Southern Baptists and Their History.
