John Darby's Synopsis of the Books of the Bible (5 volumes)
How do we interpret biblical prophecy? What are the implications of the rapture? What is the relationship between the church on earth and God’s future kingdom? John Darby’s interpretation of Scripture in the Synopsis of the Books of the Bible constituted the first step in answering those questions. These volumes contain introductions—written by Darby himself—to each book of the Bible, along with overviews of important biblical themes, such as prophecy, revelation, and the Gospel. His interpretation of Scripture in the Synopsis of the Books of the Bible reflects and informs his dispensationalist teachings—teachings which later gave rise to fundamentalism and transformed the landscape of twentieth century Christianity.

The Epistle to the Romans
The Epistle to the Romans is an invaluable standard commentary, a true book of devotion. The late H.C.G. Moule, former dean of Trinity College, succeeds in making this difficult epistle luminous while demonstrating its practical lessons. This verse-by-verse commentary includes Moule’s own translation of the text with an emphasis on an explanation of details. He also puts into context the writings of Paul by vividly describing the man and the time and place in which he lived.

Proverbs: An Expository Commentary (H.A. Ironside)
Proverbs: An Expository Commentary offers an insightful elucidation of Proverbs for those accustomed to reading the common-sense epigrams and aphorisms comprising the book. As Ironside says in the preface, “…it is just because its chapters abound in pithy truisms that the marrow is often lost sight of by those who have been accustomed to hearing of reading them all their lives. The present work is an attempt to press home upon the heart and conscience, with a view to the increase of every-day godliness, this distinctively practical portion of the word of God.
