Side-by-side version comparison has never been so easy!
The Compare Parallel Bible Versions report not only puts any two Bible versions (in any language!) side-by-side, it actually highlights the differences between the texts at a word-by-word level!
Choose the text you wish to use as the basis for comparison and then select one or more texts to compare to it. In each of the comparison texts the pink highlight indicates text that appears only in the base version and the blue highlight text that appears only in the compared version.
This unique tool is invaluable for helping you quickly see and understand the differences in modern language translations and as well as for examining different editions of the Greek manuscripts. The tool appears in the Tools | Bible Tools menu.
Pulling back from the verse and word-level, you may also want to compare pericopes (textual units frequently designated by section headings) across Bible versions. The editorial team for version A may have broken up the text differently than the team working on version B.
The Compare Pericopes report (also located in the Tools | Bible Tools menu) makes it easy to compare these textual divisions between as many or few Bible versions as you desire. It can be instructive to note differences in where pericopes begin and end, as well as the heading used by translators to describe each pericope.
Click a pericope heading in a given column to open that Bible version to the beginning of the pericope.
