The study of the book of Acts is divided into three parts: the founding of the church, the expansion of the church, and the church inherits Israel's priestly office. The basic thrust of the individual studies is to suggest a theological reason for the various narratives, to probe the purpose behind the episodes reported and to relate these to each other and into a homogenous whole.
