The Holy Bible: King James Version (KJV)
Overview
The King James Version of the Bible is still the most widely used text in the English language. The Authorized Version was first begun in 1604 by the Church of England. This version is based upon the Pure Cambridge Edition first published around 1900 which is the product of the process of textual purification that has occurred since 1611 when the Authorized Version was completed.

What happened to the References in the KJV (WS) edition? When will Logos include the three (3) clicks to go directly to a verse? Most free Versions include this feature. JoshuaMike Powers

Very disappointed. The Name of God - YHWH is not in all capital letters when it is substituted by Lord or God, etc. Example:Genesis 2:4 (KJV 1900): These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,. In this verse "Lord" is substituted for YHWH and if this digital version was faithful to the KJV we're familiar with, it would be in upper-case letters..LORD. This begs the question what else has been neglected or overlooked...A Reformed

The perfect Received Text in the English language, providentially preserved and without doctrinal error. No other English Bible "can say the same". (How is that for marketing?) Now onto differences between the Logos edition and other KJV 1900 editions (other software, HTML, etc.): - The poetry and the proverbs are formatted in a poetic form, whereas the "regular" KJV 1900 is still in the traditional verse-by-verse format. (This appears to be that the Logos edition is formatted according to Scrivener's Cambridge Paragraph Bible edition of the KJV from 1873.) - The changing of paragraphs (and the deleting of pilcrows) with the KJV 1900, resulting in further conforming to the 1873 edition. - Capitalization differences as well. Example with Proverbs 10:1 [KJV 1900, Logos edition] The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: But a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. [KJV 1900, theWord edition] The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. In the end, I actually prefer what Logos did. And from what I've seen, I do not think the italicization has changed, only the formatting. For example, 1st John 5:7-8 in the 1873 is nearly all italicized, while the 1900 is not.2 Timothy 2:15

I sure wish they would go back over this King James version and upper case the first letter of every pronoun for God, and Jesus. I have been doing it myself in the Logos App. but it is getting old having to do this; to me it just seems wrong to not have God, and Jesus pronouns first letters in upper case.

I noticed that in some versions claiming to present the Authorized King James Version including this one and it would seem those from Thomas Nelson too, Genesis 11:3 presents the word thoroughly while others present it as throughly. While I understand that they both have the same meaning and so are both equally correct, which reflects the standardized KJV? I would have thought that a four-hundred-year-old translation would have been fixed and standardized by now.Anthony Victoria

For some reason, this site shows that I don't yet own the KJV and so must purchase it; yet in my library, I've already freely downloaded it. Does it just offer even more features if I buy it, or is this just a glitch in the system?
