Overview

This book is the result of twenty-five years of study of the Book of Revelation by Larkin. He interprets Revelation from a Futurist standpoint, showing that the book is to be taken literally, and that it is written in chronological order. The book is illustrated with over thirty of Larkin's beautiful and intricate charts and includes numerous drawings of images described in the Book of Revelation that help elucidate Larkin's teachings. Contents include:

  • The Things Which Thou Hast Seen
  • The Things Which Are
  • The Things Which Shall Be Hereafter
  • The Seven Seals
  • The Seven Trumpets
  • The Seven Personages
  • The Seven Vials
  • The Seven Dooms
  • The Seven New Things

Top Highlights

“The Bible begins with Paradise LOST, and closes with Paradise REGAINED.” (Page 4)

“No mere angel was ever before or since described in the Scriptures as appearing like that. Then He is described as crying with a loud voice, as a lion roareth, and Christ is spoken of in this Book (Rev. 5:5) as ‘THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH’; and in the chapter that follows this the same ‘MIGHTY ANGEL’ speaks of the ‘Two Witnesses,’ as ‘MY WITNESSES,’ which is further indisputable evidence that this ‘MIGHTY ANGEL’ is no other than Christ Himself.” (Page 81)

“When Jesus was on the earth He was, as the ‘Son of Man,’ a PROPHET, now as the ‘Son of Man’ in Glory He is a Priest, and when He comes again it will be as the ‘Son of Man’ to reign as KING.” (Page 9)

“Now the word ‘Pergamos’ means ‘Marriage,’ and when the Church entered into a union with the State it was guilty of ‘Spiritual Fornication’ or ‘Balaamism.’” (Page 22)

“The ‘First Period,’ 7 WEEKS, refers to the time required to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, which was 49 years” (Page 50)

It is indeed refreshing to take up and exposition of the Book of Revelation and find its author handling it with reverence. Ministers can't own all books, and they shouldn't if they could. There are certain books that are useful and we would class this among the most serviceable.
