Overview

At the turn of nineteenth-century came America's second Great Awakening. Out of the ashes of this second awakening arose what would eventually become one of America's largest and somewhat controversial churches, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The writings of the Mormon Church, contained in the Mormon Studies Collection (22 vols.), record not only the official teachings of the Latter-day Saints, but also contain the history of the Church, recorded sermons, and other foundational Mormon writings.

Now, with the Mormon Studies Collection (22 vols.) apologists and students of world religions have access to the primary documents of the Mormon Church in Logos. With Logos, you can easily and quickly search for a specific reference in the Book of Mormon, speeding up your study and allowing you more time for research. Having these resources in one place is extremely helpful, and when added to the rest of your digital library you are equipped for apologetic research.

Key Features

  • The Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, and the Doctrine and Covenants in one collection
  • Twenty-six volumes of the Journal of Discourses
  • Over seven volumes on the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

@Logos, what is your intention regarding this material? Do you intend to promote the Morman cult/false church as a denomination of the true Christian faith?

Many of us mormons love the Bible, and love Logos, and just want to be able to study the BoM and Bible side-by-side without having to go to different programs. I'd be very happy to see this come to fruition. Don't worry, Christians, we're not coming for you.

Looks as if Mormon apologists are wanting to push their preferred volumes, rather than many excellent books that offer a genuine critical perspective on the numerous problems of Mormonism. Not something Logos should be funding.

people are claiming how great this would be to refute Mormonism. BUT FAIL TO REALIAZE HOW GREAT IT WILL BE FOR MORMONS TO PROMOTE THEIR FALSE BELIEFS. I HOPE that this will never happen. I my opinion it will show that LOGOS is focused on the $$$$ and not in promoting the truth of God. This will NEVER bring them out of the false teachings. If it could, there would be fewer denominations each year not more of them. Ephesian 4.5 there is ONE Lord, ONE Faith, ONE baptism. How many faiths are there today? more faiths than there are denominations.

For the Biblical scholar to be fully ready to refute heresy, you must understand their doctrines from THEIR literature. Understand Mormonism from what THEY say it is and what THEY teach it is from Mormons to Mormons. This combined with thorough Biblical research will be an invaluable tool for the refutation of their false religion.

As one who has come out of the Mormon "Church" (Along with Mother and Father and sister), I cannot believe that a program as honored and legitimate as LOGOS would give any credence to any of the garbage that Joseph Smith, Brigham Young or any of their tripe put out. Along with so many Christians trying to get all of their friends to watch The Chosen which presents a Mormon Jesus now we have what I like to think of as the premier Bible program promoting Mormonism and if not promoting it they are tacitly endorsing it at the very least. As one who survived Mormonism and who has the rest of my family still involved with Mormonism I cannot state it loudly enough MORMONISM IS NOT CHRISTIANITY AND THOSE WHO FOLLOW MORMONISM DO NOT GO TO HEAVEN. Sorry if you want to believe overwise. My cousin is a Bishop and my other cousins are married to Bishops and I have read most of the works and know they are nothing but made up stories. See you on Kolab! (Read the Pearl of Great Price to know where this is)

So, what do we have to do to get this one moving forward?

I'm just happy to see a non-LDS organization NOT bash the LDS church (or any religion for that matter). I have disassociated myself from a couple of other Bible apps because of said bashing.

As many have already commented, this would be an excellent resource for those involved in the work of defending and commending the faith through engagment with LDS.
