Review: Scholar's Library Bible Software Series X
by Staff
Logos Bible Software Series X offers more content and capability than any previous Logos release. With its integrated indexing of 2500 Bible, reference, and ministry titles, the user can simply enter a passage and view notes and information from many resources at once.
Much of the Bible software used by students and those in ministry has centered on a few resources and has offered no way to access information about a passage across more than a small number of translation and language resources. Scholar's Library includes the most popular English and original language translations, popular reference tools such as Nave's Topical Bible and the NAS Exhaustive Concordance, as well as a significant ministry library in such areas as Leadership, Homeschooling, Small Groups, and more.
The reviewer found the Logos X interface to be simple and easy to use…
One feature found to be particularly helpful for ministry applications is the "Other Tools" area. With one click, the user can view a selected verse in a parallel-versions format, view word study and exegetical guides, or search the entire library of resources for references. The "Other Tools" area keeps important information only a click away...
...The reviewer found no problems with installation, use, or activation of the product using Windows 98 (2000 and XP are also supported). With the inclusion of 7,700 illustrations, deluxe maps, and both a Miriam-Webster Thesaurus and College Dictionary, the Logos X Scholars Library is hard to beat for those willing to make the investment. Importantly, the user will not have to invest much time to learn to use the Library or apply its content in study, ministry, and personal growth.
