Logos Bible Software Names Guillermo Powell
as International Director for Spanish Products

BELLINGHAM, WA, Sept. 30 — Logos Bible Software announced today that Guillermo Powell has been hired as International Director for Spanish Products. In this role, Powell takes on responsibility for expanding distribution, direct sales and support for Spanish-speaking users.

Powell comes to Logos after eight years working in “localization,” the art of adapting and translating products into another language for local consumption. 

“Our Spanish-language product Biblioteca de Estudio Bíblico has seen strong sales in North America, and now we’re looking to increase our reach into Latin America and beyond,” said Dale Pritchett, vice president of sales and marketing, Logos Bible Software. “Guillermo’s extensive knowledge of the Spanish-speaking church and translation experience will help him set up new distribution channels and top-notch support for Spanish-speaking users.”

In 2003, the company introduced Biblioteca de Estudio Bíblico, a library of Spanish-language Bibles and reference titles with an interface and packaging in Spanish.

Powell’s Bio

Guillermo Powell has a missionary background, and was raised and educated in Argentina, giving him a passion for Spanish ministry. His own missionary work included several years in Argentina as pastor, discipleship trainer and conference speaker. He is also the founder of Hidden in the Heart and En el Corazón ministries, dedicated to proclaiming the living Word of God, by memory, as if the biblical author was speaking.

Bellingham residents since 1990, Powell and his wife, Elsa, have two married children and two newborn grandchildren.
