Logos Research Systems, Inc., Announces National Camp Logos
- Pastors to Be Trained in Advanced Technology -
National Camp Logos, an annual training event drawing 50-60 pastors from all over the country, will be held at King Mountain Church in Bellingham, Wash., July 24-26. Busy church leaders make the pilgrimage to Logos headquarters to sharpen their technological skills at the two and a half day workshop.
“The trend toward churches seeking out the very best products and practices now extends to Bible software. Pastors strive for efficiency and professional results, so they demand the finest software available and the skills to become a power user,” said Morris Proctor, authorized and certified trainer for Logos Bible Software. Proctor, a pastor for 17 years, helps Logos users discover and exploit the full potential of the software at Camp Logos seminars held in dozens of cities nationwide.
“Pastoral ministry is an ancient vocation, but today’s ministers are increasingly likely to employ cutting-edge technology to get the job done,” added Proctor.
Seminar sessions focus on topics such as, “Using Automated Reports to Study the Bible,” “Working With Original Languages,” “Exporting to Word Processors,” and “Managing Your E-Library.”
Attendees are provided with laptop computers and participate in interactive training sessions, with plenty of opportunities to have their questions answered by Proctor and to interact with Logos president Bob Pritchett and vice president Dale Pritchett. Attendees will also tour Logos Research Systems’ new headquarters in Bellingham.
Training is based on the company’s new release, Logos Bible Software Series X. The user simply enters a passage or topic, and clicks “Go.” The software then acts as a digital research assistant, sifting through hundreds or even thousands of dictionaries, commentaries, lexicons, Bibles, etc., opening them to the right page and paragraph for the user’s study. Pastors use the software to improve efficiency and quality when preparing for Sunday messages, Bible lessons, or Greek/Hebrew analyses, often cutting preparation time by more than 50%.
Those interested in registering for the seminar may contact Morris Proctor at (877) 237-3168 or email him at morris@mpseminars.com
