Logos wins top billing from Digital Book World
BELLINGHAM, WA—January 27, 2011—Logos Bible Software won the Non-Fiction Publishing Innovation Award from the Digital Book World.
The panel of judges selected Logos from a wide variety of competitors for its outstanding usability, design and technical structure. Some of the criteria they used to evaluate the nominees and ultimately recognize Logos for were:
- Clean code, good reflow of text, and appropriate structure for the medium
- Creativity in tackling layout problems that are more challenging in digital than in print
- Smooth integration of different kinds of media (e.g. audio, video, animation)
- Original content creation

Digital Book World announced the winners at its annual conference opening ceremonies in New York City on January 24th. The categories under consideration were fiction, non-fiction, children's, reference and comics.
The Publishing Innovation Awards’ judges were Peter Costanzo, Director of Digital Content at F+W Media; Elizabeth Castro, author of EPUB: Straight to the Point; Peter Meyers, author of Best iPad Apps and “Enhanced Ebooks Today and Tomorrow: A Survey for Authors and Publishers” Liza Daly, president of Threepress Consulting; and Joshua Tallent, founder/CEO of eBook Architects.
