Bible Study Revealed: Life With the True God

It was Bible Study that brought me the knowledge of salvation. Prior to that, my life had been bouncing back and forth from one religious teacher to another. These religious groups did not live what they taught and their seemed to be nothing but disorder for almost three years. It was after a year of Bible Study that my heart became convicted and the Saviour I thought I received mentally was accepted into my heart. The Bible Study in particular was the book of Ruth which God the Holy Spirit opened my heart and I confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour. It was in chapter one after Naomi told Ruth her “/… life/ is much too bitter for you to share, because the Lord’s hand has turned against me.” Ruth’s sister-in-law turned away but Ruth told Naomi to “…not persuade me to leave you or go back and not follow you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD do this to me, and even more, if anything but death separates you and me.” Ruth gave testimony to her salvation and faith in the God of Israel and her committed heart was willing to follow Him no matter where it took her. The circumstances of Naomi’s life were a better future with God than all the riches of a life center around the gods of Moab that Ruth had already known.

You see no matter how much bad had come into Naomi’s life that was not going to deter her from faith in her God. Such faith Ruth had not seen in following the religious gods of Moab that seemed so temporal. But the God of Naomi was the life giving God and Ruth was willing to follow Him through a life like Naomi’s if not worse because He is the true God, the living God, and the God of Israel. Through Bible study my investigation has shown me that Christ Jesus the Lord God Almighty Who is the same Lord God Almighty of Israel, for their God is one with Christ Jesus. As shown in John 1 verse 1 where it says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.” And Revelation one verse eight, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

It is through Bible study I became aware that all I need is faith in Christ Jesus and through His righteousness He declares God the Father and brings me into relationship to God the Father through His blood where I am allowed to worship God in the most holy of places. When I finally accepted Christ Jesus into my heart Christ’s free gift of salvation was given to me then my journey of life with God, no matter what life deals out, began. My relationship with God has never let me down and Bible study has brought me into enlightenment through the instruction of God the Holy Spirit.
