Bible Study: The Spice of Life
I get excited when I think of studying the Bible! I start every morning with God. Before Logos, I had to drag out Bibles and commentaries and dedicate a table in our spare room just for all my study books. It was frustrating and time consuming.
I bought the Logos Bible Study program five years ago, and have used it ever since. Because of Logos, the way I do bible study has changed. One of the things I like about the program is the bible reading program, being able to set it up so I can read through the Bible in a year. My son, who is 11 years old, and I have done the same thing for his benefit. It has taken us a long time but we are currently reading in 1 John, and will finish the entire bible by the end of this year. He has made a statement of faith, but doesn’t understand the need for baptism yet, so we plan to use Logos for a subject study on baptism next year.
I love the Logos system as a way of Bible study! I have added many books and am waiting for the right time to upgrade to a higher level program. Bible study has become a habit and I actually look forward to studying using Logos; it is a precursor to having a good day. I recently started using the prayer list and am planning to incorporate it into my daily quiet time. As I get older, I have noticed my vision is not as good as it used to be, so changing the font size on the program has helped a lot also.
I recently went to a Worldview Weekend event that included a presentation by Logos. The seminar instructor again challenged me to take full advantage of the Logos Bible Study programs. I am constantly challenged by what the Logos Bible Study program is capable of doing and understanding how it works. The training videos on the Logos web site are one of the most helpful ways to understand the program. In the near future, I hope to attend a Morris Proctor training seminar. Over the years, this Bible study program has continually evolved and grown, and I am looking forward to growing with it.
