Logos Bible Software is seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join our marketing department.
The ideal candidate will have experience in bringing to life creative user experiences for the web using cutting edge technologies and techniques and have an extensive background in PHP, AJAX (jQuery preferred), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript. Experience in highly customized WordPress deployments is a huge plus.
The position is part of our Websites Team and will work with various departments and content developers within the organization to complete tasks. The candidate must be a team player and able to work in an agile-collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- rapidly develop new websites for varuous deparments and marketing initiatives and identifying the best solution for the project
- manage the code base for existing websites including (but not limited to); static HTML; custom PHP; and WordPress sites
- produce high quality, well-organized, well-documented and bug-free code
- work closely in a team environment with other departments, product managers, and designers
- keep up with and introduce new trends and methodologies to enhance the user experience across all web-related marketing efforts
Candidates for this job will have:
- excellent written and verbal skills
- 4+ years experience designing and developing client-side web applications
- 4+ years experience working with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Ajax and jQuery, CSS, and HTML
- Experience with WordPress and WordPress Mutlisite
- Experience working with XML, JSON, XSL, JSP, HTML5, and CSS3 a plus
- Understanding of client server and internet systems architectures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- use Vyrso and Logos Bible Software 4
- have a comprehension of the Christian lay, academic, and pastoral markets
- have an exhaustive knowledge of Christian e-books
