Logos Bible Software is looking for an advertising specialist to manage, negotiate, and seek out wildly successful advertising ventures.
Responsibilities
- Correspond with existing advertising partners
- Manage existing advertising accounts
- Generate new, profitable advertising opportunities
- Track all advertising activity through Google analytics, project management software, and other tools
- Assess and report on all advertising activity
- Develop advertising strategies relevant to new and existing products and brands
- Contact bloggers, publishers, and other third parties to promote our products
Candidates for this job will have:
- A strong awareness of Christian academic, pastoral, and lay markets
- An understanding of what Christians read, watch, and value
- Plenty of innovative ideas for driving attention to Logos
- Experience with writing advertising proposals for both internal and external parties
- Experience in and knowledge of advertising, including familiarity with the following:
- Making great ads: headlines, calls to action, etc.
- Specific ad networks (AdWords, Facebook, Beacon, etc.)
- Direct mailing campaigns
- Retargeting
- Web marketing (a must!)
- A/B testing
- Watching AMC’s Mad Men doesn’t count!
- Attention to detail, organized, fast
The really ideal candidate will also have:
- Biblical and theological training
- A strong background in advertising to Christian markets
- Lots of friends, followers, and connections on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn (real-life connections are even better!) who would be interested in Logos’ products
