Regional Conference Speaker

Logos is now hiring a Regional Conference Speaker in the Houston, Texas area, the Northern California area, and for the Chicago, Illinois area. A Regional Conference Speaker is a full-time position with compensation based on a combination of base salary and sales commissions. There is a car allowance and a medical plan available following a 90-day probationary period.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Existing Logos Bible Software user
• Automobile that can be used for business
• Formal Bible education
• Greek and Hebrew training
• Basic familiarity with Bible reference titles and their use
• Experience in direct commissioned sales
• Good presentation skills
• Articulate, with good command of the English language
• High energy, self directed

Primary tasks:

• Working the Local Market—the single largest task is to identify individuals and large church ministries in the local area as potential buyers and to set up appointments for presentations. Success is based on the number of presentations and the number of qualified people attending the presentations.
• Presentation—the speaker will be trained in Bellingham, Washington and be provided with a formal presentation checklist.
• Speaker will assist any Logos personnel needing additional conference assistance in the region. Logos may have other people attending events in Speaker’s territory. Speaker is the local "person on the street" and will help in any way to ensure success of any Logos event in Speaker’s area.

Regional Conference Speakers are the “face of the company.” You will have the responsibility of introducing conference attendees and key ministries to the awesome power and potential of Logos for Bible study. The person who will succeed in this position tends to be a “salesperson” at heart. If you are convinced of the value of Logos and are constantly “selling” it to others, this is the position for you!

Web Developer

Logos Bible Software is seeking a Software Developer to join our web applications department. Successful candidates will have a strong object-oriented background creating rich, data-driven web applications.

Logos Web Developers design and implement cutting edge software using the latest Microsoft products and other emerging technologies. We work in a team environment to design, implement, deploy, and maintain applications used by Logos customers and employees. Each member of the team develops and extends end-user products, business systems, web services, and internal tools.

Individuals with passion for new technology, commitment to quality, and a desire to learn will excel in our casual but fast-paced, technology driven environment.

Ideal Experience:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years using object oriented languages such as C#, Java, or C++
• Experience implementing distributed, scalable, and robust transactional applications
• Experience with web application frameworks such as ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC
• Experience with relational databases design using SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, or equivalent
• Skilled in web development using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Familiarity with data structures and complex algorithms
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks
• Ability to manage concurrent priorities and requirements
• Ability to work in a team environment

Software Development Intern

Do you live to write code? Do you want to be part of a professional team of developers that still knows how to have fun?

We're working on the cutting edge of information retrieval technologies with an emphasis on "end-user-friendly" deliverables.

We welcome applications for paid internships year-round. Typically summer interns join us for 12 weeks following their junior year in a Comp-Sci or Info-Sci degree program, but we'll consider applications any quarter.

The position is at our offices in Bellingham, Washington. We're 1.25 hours north of Seattle. Our work environment is casual but intense.

Summer internship applications should be in by March 1st each year.

Requirements

We're looking for demonstrated skills in C++ or C#. Experience with XML, .NET 3, and/or WPF is a plus.
