Logos 4 Diagnostic Logging
Logos 4 supports diagnostic logging that will generate a list of its actions for Logos technicians to examine.
Instructions
- Close Logos 4. If there was an error the last time you ran Logos 4, it may not have shut down properly. To ensure that it is shut down:
- On Win XP/Vista/Windows 7, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager. Select the "Processes" tab. If Logos4.exe or Logos4Indexer.exe appears in the list, select it and click End Process.
- Press and hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard and launch Logos4.
- When the Sign in windows appears for Logos 4 please release the Ctrl key and Sign in.

- You may also select Use blank layout to prevent the home page from opening as well as the last layout from loading automatically.
- Perform the action that caused the error. Once the error has occurred, close Logos 4.
- Log files will be created in Documents(My Documents in XP)\Logos Log Files.
- Please email all Logos 4 log files to tech@logos.com with an explanation of the error you are experiencing as well as your system specs for your computer. Please set the subject to "Logos 4 log files."
If you experience an error running the Logos 4 setup you will have to enable logging for Logos4Setup.exe on the machine, you’ll have to run the EnableLogging.js script found here. To disable logging when you are up and running you’ll have to run the DisableLogging.js script found here. You may need to save the files to the hard drive and run them from there.
