Libronix DLS and Localized Interfaces
The user interface for Logos Bible Software can be installed in more than a score of languages. Once an interface is installed, you can switch to it on the fly without having to restart Libronix.
Of course, the interface language is distinct from the language of a particular book. Bibles and some other reference books for Libronix DLS are available in more than 30 languages. You can find them listed by language on our Product Categories page.
Interfaces have been translated by volunteers; some interfaces are only partially translated which means you might see a mix of English and localized text.
How to install and start using a localized interface:
- Download and install the interface.
- Option A - Install from Disc: If you have a product with the most recent version of Libronix DLS on disc, insert the Installation Disc for that product. When Libronix Update starts, click the triangle next to the word Optional to see a list of user interfaces you can install. Select one or more interfaces and click Update.
- Option B - Install from the Internet: Click one of the language links below to download and install that language's interface files. When Libronix Update is finished initializing, click Update to begin the download. Note that since the language files are version-specific, this will also update your system to version 3.0e of the Libronix DLS.
- Select the interface.
- To switch to the interface of your choice once it's downloaded, click on Tools | Options | General | Interface and choose a language from the User Interface Language dropdown box.
- Note: regional localizations do not appear in the list (e.g., Anglicized English). Codes for regional localizations must be entered manually in the box to the right of the dropdown menu (e.g., en-NZ).
Once you have installed the Interface for another language, Libronix Update will keep the interface's files up-to-date automatically—just run Libronix Update.
