MSIEXEC.EXE File Is Linked to a Missing Export MSI.DLL:222

Problem:

When you try to install, update, or remove Libronix Digital Library System, you receive the following error:

The MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to a missing export MSI.DLL:222.

This occurs if the Windows Installer files are mismatched because of an attempted update of the Windows Installer.

Solution:

Please download the latest version of Microsoft's Windows Installer. 

For Windows XP: Please install Service Pack 2 by running Windows Update from the All Programs menu.
